The investment objective of the Sub-Fund is to provide capital appreciation, primarily through investment in quoted securities in the United States of America. In seeking to achieve the Sub-Fund’s investment objective, the Sub-Fund will invest in equities and equity-related securities (such as convertible bonds), listed or traded on Recognised Markets in the United States such as the NASDAQ, the New York Stock Exchange, the American Stock Exchange, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and the Chicago Board of Trade. The Sub-Fund may invest up to a maximum of 20% of the Net Asset Value in non-US companies traded on a Recognised Market in the United States, including ADRs (American Depository Receipts). In addition, a small portion of the SubFund’s portfolio (and in any event not exceeding 10% of the Net Asset Value) may be invested in equities and equity-related securities (such as convertible bonds), listed or traded on Recognised Markets in Canada.
